Selina has always shared her generosity of spirit. She has an endless capacity Love.

 

It makes me so very proud after all that she has unfairly suffered and long endured, to see that her strength and resilience and her Will Of Courage™ defiantly start to regain confidence.

 

She grows even stronger with her continued focus on healing and now more so empowered by the love she is so happy to share in her resolve to support our country wide Rural & Remote communities Australia wide. (Farmers, their Well Being and most especially supporting her love for all Children.)

 

She is on her way to realising this dream to serve her country Australia, now come true, in this positive way and finds this to be a tremendous component of her personal well being too.

 

I thank everyone who has been on Selina’s journey and who continue  to give her support, strength and Love as she draws courage from you all to keep persevering, not lose hope and keep  moving forward towards this very big chapter, in her selfless nature, that is just ‘Selina’, (supported by all her communities, whom she holds in very high regard.

Selina has such a big heart, amazing resilience, and a strong desire to keep, giving back… focusing her attention, positive energy an enthusiastic commitment to improving the mental health and wellbeing of others, but most especially children in rural and remote communities.

 

This is a fantastic plan – both for the children and for Selina.

I should like to commend to you Selina, who I find to be a person with great strength of character, sincere generosity and extraordinary resilience, in the face of extreme adversity. 

 

To this end, Selina is pursuing opportunities to help improve the mental health and over all well being of people living in regional and remote communities, who face their own battles and is particularly keen to assist children and young people as they face hardships..

 

Selina is a person whose Faith is of great importance in her life. It is Selina’s prayerful consideration that motivates and enables her to reach out to others in Love.

 

I wish Selina every blessing in all her endeavours and pray that God will watch over and protect her as she serves hi in the community.

From the second I met her I was taken by the love and warmth that radiated from her. 

 

The Tribute led by Selina and her community in Mosman was held over morning tea at Balmoral Beach, 9 December, 2018 in memory Tori Johnson and Katrina Dawson.

 

‘The day was wonderful, the support shown to Selina by the community spoke volumes as to how loved she is within Mosman’.

 

Selina told me she wanted to move on and start helping more people Australia wide.

 

On a personal note, I want to say how incredibly proud I am to have been involved with Selina’s journey thus far. To see someone go through adversity and now be driven to help others from a place entirely filled with love is wonderful. I know I will be there to support Selina for a long time to come no matter where I am working and I cannot wait to see the help and support she will provide so many Australian’s over the coming years

‘I have been blessed to have met, on several occasions, Ms Selina Win Pe, cherished Survivor of the Lindt Café Seige. 

 

Ms Win Pe has been through something we can never fully appreciate, and has now turned her life to serving others in a real and genuine manner.  She is an inspiring, loving and God-fearing lady.  For Ms Win Pe to dedicate her life to serving rural and regional communities is to be warmly commended.

 

For Ms Win Pe to fund her new ‘purpose in life’ objectives confirm she is the ‘real deal’.  I trust the corporate world will also soon realise what a tremendous asset to us all she is.

 

I admire Ms Win Pe for many reasons.  Her faith, passion, appreciation of ALL living things, energy and her work-ethic are all qualities that endear her to all she meets.

 

There is no doubt in my mind; Ms Win Pe has a genuine desire to enrich rural and regional communities.  I also firmly believe she will achieve ALL she sets her mind to, and I am more than prepared to assist in any ways Ms Win Pe sees fit.

Her commitment to regional and rural communities, her concern for the plight of farmers, her desire to educate others about the challenges they face is to be commended.

 

The selfless and altruistic way in which she is approaching her goal is especially commendable. Her energy and enthusiasm is infectious.

 

Whilst she is committed to highlighting the resilience of rural communities, and not withstanding the challenging role she has given herself, I have no doubt  that due to her own resilience, she will succeed.

It gives me great pleasure and honour to provide this character reference for Selina Win Pe, of Mosman. Selina is a truly remarkable lady.

 

I met Selina a few years ago in my café in Mosman and we have over this time slowly formed a special bond.

 

Selina, is always an absolute pleasure and has the air of an angel about her. On my first dealings with Selina I did not know of her story of where she came, but I marvelled at the intense warmth and generosity she radiated to everyone she came into contact with. Her kindness and loving nature not only touched me but every member of my staff each day the moment she walked through our door.

 

Last year Selina approached me to take part in her first community event for “Will of Courage™” and hence explained to me her past and her cause and I was speechless. How could this incredible human have been through so much and still possess such boundless energy and love?

 

I have so much admiration for Selina and her will to push forward and give herself to the cause of others, she has a most incredible character and I feel so privileged to be touched by her brave and selfless heart. She is a an example for us all.

 

I wish Selina all the best in your endeavours to aid the rural communities and any other cause she may take on. She will achieve greatness with her boundless love and generosity of spirit.

‘Selina’s commitment and passion towards yoga and ultimately anything she sets her mind to, is undeniable and truly inspirational. Selina has a dedicated daily yoga practice.

 

As yoga being a fundamental element of her healing journey, it is such an honour to witness Selina’s transformation and personal empowerment.

Selina has an authentically warm and generous nature towards all those she encounters. She has always been so generous and loving towards our family. My own children absolutely adore her and her playful, fun loving energy!

Although we are Selina’s yoga teachers, we have learnt so much from her – her tenacity, will and courage to not let her past define her, and instead, use her past as fuel to help others is such a rare and admiral quality.’

As owners of a family business and her friend, we are forever grateful for her unwavering support.

‘I FELT IMMEDIATELY DRAWN TO SELINA’S CHARISMATIC WARMTH, CURIOSITY AND OPEN HEART. OVER TIME I CAME TO KNOW MORE OF HER STORY AND THE SEVERE TRAUMA SHE HAS ENDURED AFTER BEING ONE OF THE SURVIVING HOSTAGES IN THE LINDT CAFE SIEGE THAT TOOK PLACE IN DECEMBER 2014.  

 

IN JUNE 2018 I TAUGHT SELINA VEDIC MEDITATION, AND ALTHOUGH SHE STRUGGLED A LITTLE AT THE BEGINNING TO COMMIT TO THE PRACTICE, SHE IS NOW PRACTICING REGULARLY AND WHOLEHEARTEDLY. SHE SHARES WITH ME OFTEN HOW MEDITATION IS A VITAL PART OF HER DAILY SELF-CARE AND WELLNESS RITUAL, AND ATTESTS TO THE POWER OF THIS PROFOUND MEDITATION TECHNIQUE AS A CRITICAL PART OF HER JOURNEY OF HEALING. 

LIKE A LOTUS RISING AND BLOSSOMING THROUGH THE MUD SELINA HAS TURNED CIRCUMSTANCES OF TRAGEDY INTO A LEGACY AND A TRUE WILL OF COURAGE. IT IS MY ABSOLUTE HONOUR TO WITNESS AND BE PART OF HER DEEP GROWTH AND TRANSFORMATION HAVING ENDURED SO MUCH SEVERE AND UNIMAGINABLE TRAUMA IN HER LIFE, AS I CONTINUE TO GUIDE HER AS HER MEDITATION TEACHER, MENTOR AND FRIEND.  

 

WITH HER BIG, KIND, WARM AND MOST GENEROUS HEART, SHE IS NOW ON A SELFLESS AND COMPASSIONATE MISSION TO HELP THOSE IN NEED, ESPECIALLY DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND OUR FARMING COMMUNITIES. WHAT A PRIVILEGE FOR THE SO MANY WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN TOUCHED BY SELINA’S COURAGE AND HER VISION AND I’M SO EXCITED FOR THOSE SHE WILL TOUCH AS PART OF HER ONWARD PURPOSE-FILLED JOURNEY
