The Importance Of My Country-Clothing Connection - & Key Everyday Staples, Hats & Caps
RINGERS WESTERN
“STICKIN TOGETHER"
The Ringers Western brand was born back in 2012, cooked up by a crew of hardworking family and friends, gathered around a stock-camp fire after a day’s mustering on a rugged cattle station in the Kimberley Region, of Western Australia.
Most Proudly adding to my hat collection in May 2024 the Ringers Western (Cowboy/Cowgirl) hat that I absolutely Love, and have been growing in my collection of wear.
In my continued support of this key staple clothing, that represents so much more, than just a brand, to me.
Icons of the outback and importantly its connection to Australian Farming in outback areas and cattle station country, that in strength, and community spirit and my love of Horses, and the inclusion of everything that connects to Australian Agriculture.
That I have been supporting the staple I wear of Ringers Western clothing, and now it’s Western range of hats & accessories I have, and share it’s place on my journeys, with them that began in August 2022.
In my expansive heart led support of our incredible! outback farming communities. With tremendous respect to Our Dear Farmers, Stockmen, and women, Jillaroos & Jackaroos. For all that they do for our communities too.
As part of the greater agriculture industry and farming communities. And who are the very backbone of our country and its communities.
Outback, in Australia, any inland area remote from large centres of population. Generally, the term is applied to semiarid inland areas of eastern Australia and to the arid centre of the Western Plateau and its semiarid northern plains (in Western Australia) where bodies of water are scattered and frequently dry.
A Ringer is a male or female stock worker on an Australian cattle station, so named from rounding up “mobs” of cattle.
In Australia, where ranches are known as stations, cowboys are known as stockmen and ringers, (jackaroos and jillaroos who also do stockwork are trainee overseers and property managers).
Drover – An experienced stockman, who moves livestock, usually sheep, cattle, and horses on a horse over long distances.
Mob – A group of cattle, horses or sheep running or mustered together.
Ringing can include many roles such as mustering, fencing, clearing trees, vehicle repairs and yard work.
